Congratulation to past member Dr Zahra Mohri for obtaining a lectureship at University College London.
Congratulations to Mehwish and Kai on passing their PhD vivas – well done Dr Arshad and Dr Riemer!
Peter has published his 100th paper as an academic – congratulations Peter!
Kai has published his work on experimentally measuring wall shear stress in the rabbit abdominal aorta, which will help to further our understanding of atherosclerotic lesion development.
Mehwish presented her work on swirling flow in cell culture wells at the 9th International Bio-Fluid Mechanics and Vascular Mechano-Biology Symposium in Arizona.
Anenta presented her work on screening for heart failure using noninvasive wave intensity analysis at the 22nd BSH Annual Autumn Meeting 2019 in London.
Congratulations to Marta on passing her PhD viva – well done Dr Dazzi!
Ethan presented his recent work on the measurement of non-invasive wave intensity at Artery19 in Budapest.
Ryan and Mehwish both attended BioMedEng19. Mehwish won a BHF Travel Award to give a talk and Ryan presented two posters.
Ryan won the Department of Bioengineering’s GTA of the Year Award. Congratulations Ryan!
The team completed the BHF London to Brighton charity bike ride! Amongst other things, the BHF fund incredibly important research in the fight against cardiovascular disease - including that done by many of our group members.
